Jangchung Lounge R expands Starbucks Reserve offerings
Store-exclusive afternoon coffee set available by reservation
Visiting customers to receive discount on 'Black & White Cold Brew'
Starbucks Korea announced Monday that its Jangchung Lounge R location has been named to the "Seoul Cafe & Dessert 50," a list released alongside the "2026 Seoul Gourmet 100" by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
The Seoul Gourmet 100 is an official culinary list the Seoul Metropolitan Government has published annually since 2020. This year marked the first time the city also released a separate "Seoul Cafe & Dessert 50," with selections evaluated on beverage and dessert quality, ambiance, popularity and accessibility.
Jangchung Lounge R is a Reserve-exclusive special store that Starbucks unveiled in September 2024 to mark the 10th anniversary of its Reserve line in South Korea. The store preserves the structure of a 1960s-era mansion, complemented by curated furniture and decorative objects. The space spans one below-ground floor, two above-ground floors and an outdoor garden, with a total of 180 seats.
The flagship menu item is the "Espresso Flight" — a trio of drinks pairing Reserve espresso shots with chocolate powder, French vanilla cream and a Jeju palssak sherbet. The store also offers 15 exclusive beverages made with Reserve drip coffee and Reserve cold brew, among other ingredients.
The store recently introduced a "Reserve Afternoon Coffee Set" available by advance reservation, served on a two-tiered tray with Reserve espresso, Americano, cake and finger foods.
To celebrate the selection, Starbucks will offer visiting customers a 20 percent discount on its "Black & White Cold Brew" from Oct. 23 through Oct. 29. The drink is an einspänner-style beverage combining Reserve cold brew with house-made vanilla bean cream.
"We will continue to deliver a Starbucks coffeehouse experience that blends a sophisticated space with exceptional menus," said Shin Dong-woo, chief executive of Starbucks Korea.
