One-on-one sessions cover expected questions and mock interviews tailored to each student's target school, department and admissions track
Yanggu-gun in Gangwon Province, which promotes itself under the slogan "Youth Yanggu," announced Monday it will run a one-on-one college interview consulting program for third-year high school students preparing for rolling admissions interviews.
The sessions will be held Saturday and Oct. 24 and 25 at a classroom in the county's lifelong learning center, led by consultants specializing in college admissions and interviews. Each session is tailored to the individual student's target university, intended major and admissions track.
Consultants will draw up likely interview questions based on each student's school record, self-introduction and statement of purpose, then conduct a mock interview in a format closely mirroring the real thing and provide feedback.
The program is designed to help students prepare systematically for the actual interview, with focused attention on building a personal interview strategy, structuring answers, and refining delivery and demeanor.
"The rolling admissions interview is a critical stage where students can directly demonstrate their abilities and level of preparation, so systematic readiness is essential — that is why we created this consulting opportunity," said Park In-suk, head of the lifelong education division. "We plan to continue developing programs that ease the educational burden on students and parents and support the growth of local talent."
