Naver Cloud is teaming up with one of Vietnam's leading IT companies to accelerate its expansion of AI factory projects across the Asia-Pacific region.

Naver Cloud announced Monday that it recently signed an MOU with Vietnamese IT firm FPT at Naver's 1784 headquarters to jointly pursue AI factory projects.

FPT is one of Vietnam's most prominent ICT companies, recognized as an Nvidia cloud partner and a leader in Vietnam's AI cloud market.

Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly discuss the planning, development and operation of AI factory projects.

In particular, they will combine their respective GPU infrastructure, cloud technology, business capabilities and customer networks to jointly expand opportunities in AI factory and GPUaaS (GPU cloud service) projects across the Asia-Pacific.

The two companies also plan to jointly identify demand in markets that are difficult to address independently, and to provide infrastructure, AI models and AI services to help customers adopt AI quickly without the burden of building their own infrastructure.

The partnership will also extend to strengthening engineering capabilities. The two sides plan to run a regular technical exchange program involving engineers from Naver Cloud's Vietnam development center, its headquarters technical staff and FPT engineers. Joint initiatives will cover GPU infrastructure optimization, improvements to AI inference performance, and building real-world service environments for AI agents.

"We are now able to combine the AI technology and experience Naver Cloud has built up with FPT's AI factory and enterprise business capabilities," Naver Cloud CEO Kim Yu-won said. "Based on the technology and business strengths of both companies, we will work to address the diverse AI needs of customers across the Asia-Pacific market — beyond Korea and Vietnam — and turn that into real business results."

Le Hong Viet, head of FPT Corporation's Smart Cloud division, said the partnership with Naver Cloud would help "create new ways for companies in Asia-Pacific and around the world to translate AI into tangible business outcomes."

Meanwhile, Naver Cloud plans to significantly scale up its AI factory business starting next year, supplying dedicated data center- and cluster-level infrastructure to global AI companies.
