3 Google AI-only plans, 5 lifestyle bundles
Up to 5TB storage; new subscribers get up to 10,000 won in Naver Pay points
KT Corp is rolling out a lineup of subscription products that pair Google's AI services with coffee and lifestyle perks, offering up to 5TB of cloud storage and rewarding new subscribers with up to 10,000 won ($7) in Naver Pay points.
KT announced Tuesday it is launching eight "Google AI KT Subscription" plans developed in partnership with Google, combining generative AI services with a range of everyday benefits.
The lineup consists of three Google AI-only plans and five bundle packs that add lifestyle perks from Mega MGC Coffee, Starbucks and others. Customers can choose a plan based on their AI usage needs and daily habits.
The three standalone Google AI plans are Google AI Plus (400GB), Google AI Plus (2TB) and Google AI Pro (5TB). Subscribers can use Google's generative AI service Gemini for a range of tasks including document drafting, information searches, translation and learning.
Depending on the plan, customers also receive between 400GB and up to 5TB of cloud storage usable across Google Photos, Google Drive and Gmail.
KT is also offering five bundle packs that add coffee and lifestyle benefits on top of Google AI access. Depending on the plan, subscribers receive up to three Mega MGC Coffee Americanos per month.
Google AI Pro (5TB) subscribers can also opt for a plan that includes one Starbucks Americano per month. A lifestyle bundle pack is also available, letting customers pick one benefit from five options: Daiso, GS25, CJ Olive Young, Kakao Emoticon Plus and Snow VIP.
To mark the launch, KT will offer new subscribers Naver Pay points ranging from 2,000 won to a maximum of 10,000 won, depending on the plan chosen, through Nov. 30.
"As generative AI is becoming a service woven into customers' daily lives and work, we launched the Google AI KT Subscription products to make it easier and more convenient for customers to experience AI," said Kang Yi-hwan, senior vice president and head of KT Corp's Customer Service Division. "We will continue to expand the digital services and lifestyle benefits available through KT Subscription to meet the diverse needs of our customers."
Meanwhile, KT partnered with Google in August to launch four "Choice" mobile rate plans bundled with generative AI services. The plans, priced in the 90,000 to 130,000 won range per month, include Google AI Plus (400GB) as standard, with an option to expand cloud storage to up to 5TB for an additional fee.
