Zigzag runs 'Jikjaek Beauty Festa' with up to 90% off through Oct. 26

Zigzag, the style commerce platform operated by Kakao Style, said it is running the "Jikjaek Beauty Festa," offering discounts of up to 90 percent through Oct. 26.

The event combines online and offline components. In Seongsu-dong, Seoul, the company is operating a moving pop-up called the "Pink Car," where shoppers can browse pre-launch products and bestsellers from popular brands. The Pink Car's daily location can be checked on the app.

A total of 12 beauty brands are taking part in the Pink Car, with different products showcased on each operating day. On Monday, Bbia and About Tone made their first appearances, unveiling the "Bbia K-Gyaru Edition" and the "About Tone Blending Glow Base," respectively. Espoir, Dinto, Dr. Jart+, Abib and Etude are also set to present their signature products in turn.

At the venue, visitors who verify their Zigzag app registration receive a sachet sample. Favoriting a participating brand enters shoppers into a lucky draw with prizes worth up to 800,000 won ($599). Those who post a verification photo on SNS are given the chance to join a "Scoop Event," where they can fill a bag with cosmetics samples to take home.

Online, the platform issues unlimited coupons of up to 30 percent off every day, along with a first-come, first-served 40 percent coupon for first-time beauty buyers. Other deals include a "990-won special" for limited quantities of global brand products, a daily "3,000-won flash sale" opening at noon, and a "24H Beauty Attack" offering up to 85 percent off popular products for 24 hours.

Relay live broadcasts and a raffle event are also planned. Raffle prizes include luxury items such as a Chanel Classic Card Holder and a Hermès Mini Pop Ash pendant.

"Whenever customers visit, we will offer differentiated value — new beauty arrivals and bestsellers at reasonable prices," a Kakao Style official said.
