Track and field athlete Kim Min-ji, nicknamed "athletics Karina," has shared a baffling experience in which she was reported to a social media platform as an impersonator of herself.
On Tuesday, Kim posted a short video on her social media with the caption "I was reported as an impersonator."
In the video, Kim said she had created a secondary account three months ago, only to have it deleted within a day. "It got 150,000 views and 1,000 followers in a single day, but the account was deleted the next day for allegedly violating community guidelines," she said.
"They said it was impersonation. I am Kim Min-ji, but I ended up being accused of impersonating Kim Min-ji," she said, expressing disbelief.
Kim added that she continued to create secondary accounts afterward but kept getting reported. "Fortunately, my last account was not taken down, but nobody is watching it. I felt like I could not just leave things this way, so I am posting this video," she said.
Earlier, Choi Jun-hee, the daughter of the late actress Choi Jin-sil, also expressed frustration after her own social media account was suddenly suspended.
Meanwhile, Kim rose to prominence through her appearance on "Solo Hell 5," a reality dating show, and has since been active across a range of entertainment programs, including "Gol Ttaerineun Geunyeodeul," a women's celebrity soccer show, and "Yagu Yeowang," a women's celebrity baseball show.
