Korea Investment Securities on Wednesday launched a service that lets customers listen to research content through AI-generated audio.

The service, available on the company's mobile application, converts research summaries and analysis into spoken audio and simultaneously highlights on screen the sentence being read aloud in real time.

Customers can use the service to access research information conveniently while commuting or in situations where looking at a screen is difficult.

The company is also expanding its global research content. Korea Investment Securities recently added exclusive research content from global asset managers Fidelity and PIMCO to its mobile trading system. The additions are part of strategic partnerships that President Kim Sung-hwan signed with each firm last month — Fidelity in London and PIMCO in New York.

Korea Investment Securities has been building ties with a series of global asset managers, broadening its partnership portfolio across research, bonds and alternative investments. The firm previously struck agreements with Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan, among others.

"We developed this service so that customers can access differentiated research content from world-class financial firms more easily and conveniently," a company official said. "We will continue to leverage AI technology to improve customers' access to investment information."
