Wing-shaped head features alignment-assist design
Mizuno Korea launched the JPX Q II putter, a club designed exclusively for women golfers, on Monday.
The new model joins the JPX Q II series of women's golf clubs and was developed with the body type and swing characteristics of Korean women golfers in mind. It incorporates what Mizuno calls a "quadruple concept," emphasizing four elements: a stable stroke, easy alignment, natural ball roll and a comfortable grip feel.
The putter pairs a short 32-inch shaft with a relatively heavy 385-gram head. The combination is designed to promote a comfortable address position while reducing head wobble during the stroke for more consistent putting.
The head is shaped like a pair of wings extending rearward. It features a dot to align the center of the ball with the center of the head, along with an alignment line to confirm the target direction. Score lines on the face help the ball roll smoothly after impact.
The grip uses an Iomic I-Classic Mid sized for women's hands. The head is made of stainless steel with a nickel-chrome finish.
"We focused on creating a putter that women golfers can use with confidence from address to impact," a Mizuno Korea official said.
