AI solution demos, one-on-one consulting and seminars at Ilsan KINTEX, Oct. 21–23
From production planning automation to decision support — practical AI for manufacturing
Samil PwC announced it will make its first appearance at the 2026 Industrial AI Expo, presenting AI services tailored to industrial environments.
The expo runs Wednesday through Friday at KINTEX Hall 1 in Ilsan, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, and focuses on AI technologies and solutions applied to manufacturing and other industrial sectors. This year's event is themed "Embodied AI: Beyond Physical AI" and will feature exhibitions of industry-specific AI technologies and case studies, along with conferences and seminars.
Through its participation, Samil PwC will introduce a range of services that position AI not merely as an administrative aid but as a practical tool for improving operations and decision-making on the factory floor. The firm said its approach centers on defining real-world problems through a deep understanding of industrial processes and workflows, then applying AI and optimization technologies to address them.
During the event, Samil PwC will run demonstrations of AI solutions supporting corporate AI transformation, one-on-one adoption consulting, and presentations at an AI-Tech seminar. Visitors at the exhibition booth will be able to see firsthand how AI is applied to actual industrial workflows. Companies considering AI adoption can use the one-on-one consulting sessions to review which AI initiatives suit their operations and map out a path forward.
The expo will particularly highlight concrete use cases from the manufacturing sector. In recent years, the scope of AI in manufacturing has expanded beyond simple information delivery and task support to encompass production and operational efficiency as well as on-site decision support. Production planning — which requires balancing orders, delivery deadlines, capacity and process operations simultaneously — holds strong potential for AI-driven transformation.
Samil PwC will present an approach that combines AI and optimization technologies to automate production planning and support decision-making that reflects diverse on-site conditions. The firm said its goal goes beyond reducing repetitive tasks: it aims to help manufacturers use AI as a means of optimizing production and operations as a whole.
On the final day of the event, Friday, at 2 p.m., Samil PwC Partner Cho Hong-rae will deliver a presentation at the AI-Tech seminar titled "Manufacturing Production Planning Innovation Through the Combination of AI and Optimization: From Scheduling Automation to Decision Support." Cho will outline ways to expand the use of AI in manufacturing — from automating production scheduling to supporting on-site decision-making.
"The true value of AI on the industrial floor lies not in the adoption of new technology itself, but in meaningfully improving operational workflows and management decisions and translating that into sustainable results," said Lee Seung-hwan, Samil PwC's AX node leader and deputy managing partner. "Samil PwC is focused on combining deep knowledge of industry and business processes with AI and optimization technologies, applying them to clients' operational processes and building an execution foundation that connects those effects to business performance."
Meanwhile, Samil PwC posted sales of 1.63 trillion won ($1.21 billion) and an operating profit of 19.8 billion won for fiscal year 2026 (July 2025–June 2026). Managing Partner Yoon Hoon-soo, who succeeded CEO Kim Young-sik in 2020 and has since served one additional term, has guided the firm's steady growth. His term runs through June 2027.
