'Asia Machinery & Manufacturing Expo' opens Wednesday at Kintex in Goyang
160 companies from 12 countries to showcase AI, autonomous manufacturing and energy
A comprehensive machinery and manufacturing trade expo is set to open this week, drawing a large number of domestic and international companies. The event will cover the full manufacturing value chain, from traditional machinery and production to AI, autonomous manufacturing and clean energy.
The Asia Machinery & Manufacturing Expo will run for three days from Wednesday through Friday at Kintex in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, according to industry sources. The specialized B2B trade show carries on the 50-year legacy of the Korea Machinery Fair (KOMAF), bridging traditional manufacturing technologies with next-generation production innovation.
The expo integrates the entire manufacturing value chain under one roof. A total of 160 companies from 12 countries will participate across 400 booths, organized into four specialized halls: a smart factory hall, a metalworking hall, a clean energy and technology hall, and a materials and components hall.
The show will feature a broad range of exhibits spanning traditional manufacturing fundamentals through next-generation innovations including AI, autonomous manufacturing, physical AI and robotics. Key exhibitor Doosan Enerbility will showcase clean power generation technologies — large-scale nuclear power plants, small modular reactors (SMR), gas turbines and offshore wind — designed to meet surging electricity demand in the AI era, alongside advanced manufacturing technologies powered by AI. The company will display scale models of its major products to convey its vision for the future of power generation and energy technology.
AMXPO organizer Coamimesse, an exhibition subsidiary of the Korea Machine Industry Promotion Association, supports technology exchange and industrial cooperation between domestic and international companies while helping create new business opportunities.
A conference on industrial AI and manufacturing innovation will be held Thursday, centered on the theme "Real-world AI applications — AI realized on the factory floor." Experts from LG CNS, Microsoft, Hyundai Rotem, Doosan Digital Innovation, Furiosa AI and Schaeffler Korea will present outstanding business models and verified case studies of AI technology in actual manufacturing settings.
B2B programs aimed at opening real export channels have also been strengthened. An export consultation session for machinery and plant equipment, held Wednesday and Thursday, will bring together 21 buyers representing 19 companies from seven countries — Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Thailand and China — handpicked and invited by the organizers for one-on-one meetings with participating firms.
"Future core technologies including AI, autonomous manufacturing, robotics, smart manufacturing and energy will be organically integrated on the solid foundation of traditional machinery and manufacturing," Coamimesse Chief Executive Ryu Tae-sung said. "We expect domestic and international companies and buyers to forge meaningful cooperation."
