Kangwon Land, which is advancing its blueprint for a world-class integrated resort centered on the coal-industry transition zones of Jeongseon, Taebaek, Yeongwol and Samcheok, has selected 50 youth intern casino dealers through its HiOne Global Academy.
The company announced Tuesday that it is running a tailored training program at its Seoul academy to develop specialized casino personnel and support youth employment.
"We will actively support young people in growing into casino industry professionals and expanding their employment opportunities on the basis of specialized education and hands-on experience," Chief Executive Kim Do-gyun said. "We will continue to strengthen youth employability through field-centered education and practice-linked programs, and ensure that this translates into real job creation."
The curriculum covers introductory coursework, practical casino dealing, foreign-language instruction and job-readiness training. It is structured to build the full range of competencies required for casino work — from safety basics and professional conduct to game operations, customer service, language skills and interview preparation.
Youth interns who complete the program and meet the passing standard in their assessments will be given the opportunity to work as dealers on the floor, gaining hands-on experience and building practical adaptability.
Starting this year, Kangwon Land has expanded the hiring bonus points available to youth interns. Program graduates receive a 1 percent bonus, while top-performing interns receive 3 percent, raising the incentive to participate and broadening pathways to employment.
