E-mart will open Wow Shop locations at Starfield Market Wolgye and E-mart Eunpyeong on Thursday, the retailer announced Wednesday.

E-mart launched Wow Shop in December last year with roughly 1,300 directly imported household goods. The expanded format will introduce more than 12,000 new products priced at 5,000 won or less, with 7,000 items on display at any given time, rotated by season.

The product range has grown beyond kitchenware and home furnishings to include beauty, health supplements, stationery, toys and electronics. The health-and-beauty segment alone covers more than 790 items, anchored by high-efficacy skincare lines such as derma cosmetics, alongside color makeup products in a wide range of shades and formulations reflecting the latest trends.

Prices run from 1,000 won to a maximum of 10,000 won ($8), with about 60 percent of all developed products priced at 2,000 won or less.

Following the Wolgye and Eunpyeong openings, E-mart plans to open a third mid-to-large Wow Shop at Starfield Market Gunsan on Oct. 30, bringing the total to five by year's end. The company also plans to add dedicated Wow Shop zones inside existing E-mart and E-mart Everyday stores to expand the new product lineup.

Separately from the Wow Shop range, E-mart will offer a limited selection of about 100 products priced at exactly 10,000 won, including an air fryer, a coffee maker, a single-person electric blanket, a double-door sensor trash can and a carry-on suitcase.

"We will keep strengthening our ultra-low-price household goods lineup by combining E-mart's product planning capabilities and global sourcing expertise, so customers can be satisfied with both price and quality," said Hwang Un-gi, head of E-mart's merchandise division.
