Peak colors expected from late October to early November
'Sky Garden Path, Ginkgo Road' recommended as top spots
Ginkgo forest program available for Garden Pass members
Samsung C&T's resort division announced Wednesday that the Everland complex will enter full fall foliage season this weekend, with peak color expected from late October through early November.
Tens of thousands of trees spanning more than 10 species — including Japanese maples, ginkgos and zelkovas — are turning color across the park. Everland has long drawn visitors in autumn thanks to its variety of foliage trails.
Along the roughly 1-kilometer Sky Garden Path, one of the park's signature walking routes, visitors can encounter plum trees, burning bush and kochia. The Ginkgo Road, which winds along the perimeter of the rose garden, forms a canopy of golden leaves overhead.
Guests can also take in the foliage from rides. Thunderfalls carries riders along a rapid current through close-up views of the surrounding autumn colors, while Monimo RUSH, perched on a hillside, offers a panoramic view of the fall landscape from its highest point 56 meters above ground before a rapid descent.
Starting Oct. 30, Everland will run a fall foliage experience program at the Secret Ginkgo Forest for Garden Pass members — subscribers to the park's seasonal botanical content service covering flowers, forests and gardens.
The Secret Ginkgo Forest sits on the slopes of Hyangsusan near Sinwon-ri, adjacent to Everland, and spans a roughly 150,000-square-meter site where about 30,000 ginkgo trees grow in a dense grove. The trees were planted for reforestation in the 1970s and have grown for more than half a century, forming what is now the largest ginkgo grove in South Korea.
When the forest was first opened to the general public on a trial basis in 2024, every showing sold out within two minutes of registration opening. The program has been offered exclusively to Garden Pass subscribers since last year. This year's edition is set to include guided trekking with a professional docent, hammock meditation in the forest and other activities.
