'Cinematic Vista' windows stretch up to 45 meters across three sides
Eight Han River-view community spaces and private studio units planned
DL E&C has unveiled a Han River-view design for Acro Seongsu, its proposed project for the second zone of the Seongsu Strategic Redevelopment District in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. The company aims to complete what it calls an "Acro Belt" along the Han River, linking its developments in Banpo, Hannam and Seongsu.
DL E&C released details of the Han River-view design Wednesday. Acro Seongsu is planned as a complex of nine buildings rising up to 62 above-ground floors over six below-ground levels, with 2,350 units in total. The construction cost is 2.01 trillion won ($1.51 billion), and the redevelopment association plans to hold a general meeting on Nov. 21 to select the final contractor.
The centerpiece of the design is Han River views. DL E&C is proposing a "Cinematic Vista" concept featuring three-sided surround windows stretching up to 45 meters across the living room, allowing select units to take in panoramic Han River views of up to 270 degrees from the living room.
The windows will incorporate an "Infinite Frame" measuring up to 13 meters wide and 2.9 meters tall. The company also proposed a "River View Entry" that offers a Han River sightline from the front door, a "River View Bath" with views from the bathroom, and open terraces.
To maximize Han River views, the design reduces the number of main residential towers and incorporates a wide view corridor of up to 160 meters and pilotis standing 15 meters tall. DL E&C classifies 1,186 units as "S-grade Han River view" units — equivalent to 110 percent of the number of association member households — ensuring enough supply to give members priority access to the best-view units.
Community facilities also put Han River views front and center. The top floors will house eight Han River-view amenities: a Sky Art Dining venue, a sky fitness center, a sky private gym, a sky library, a sky guesthouse, two sky pool villas and an infinity pool.
Each unit will also have access to a dedicated "Private Studio" — a separate space that residents can customize as a wine cellar, home cinema, personal training room or other use of their choosing.
DL E&C sees Acro Seongsu as the cornerstone of its Acro brand expansion along the Han River, following Acro River Park in Banpo and Acro Seoul Forest in Seongsu. The company recently proposed Acro Hannam as well, continuing to extend the Acro brand across major riverside redevelopment sites.
"Acro sets the standard for high-end residential living, combining location, design, brand and asset value," a DL E&C official said. "Through Acro Seongsu at the heart of Seongsu, we will establish a new benchmark for Han River-side living."
Meanwhile, DL E&C signed a "Premium Financial MOU for the Seongsu 2nd District" last month with 10 financial institutions to support association members — five major commercial banks, KB Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank, Hana Bank, Woori Bank and NH NongHyup Bank, and five brokerages, KB Securities, NH Investment & Securities, Samsung Securities, Korea Investment & Securities and Kiwoom Securities.
