264 units in 59 and 84 sq. meter types
39th-floor sky community, AI residential services planned
Dongbu is set to launch Nam Chuncheon Centreville, a new apartment complex in Hyoja-dong, Chuncheon, Gangwon Province — the first new housing supply in the neighborhood in four years. The mixed-use development will rise up to 39 stories and feature AI-based residential services and a sky community lounge among its signature amenities.
Dongbu announced Wednesday that it will move ahead with pre-sales of Nam Chuncheon Centreville, located at 681-12 Hyoja-dong, Chuncheon, with a strategy centered on differentiated residential products to compete in the local housing market.
The complex will consist of six below-ground and up to 39 above-ground floors, comprising 264 units of apartments alongside neighborhood commercial facilities. The unit mix breaks down into 32 units with an exclusive use area of 59 square meters and 232 units at 84 square meters.
The last new apartment pre-sale in Hyoja-dong was in 2022, when 98 units came to market. While the neighborhood has long been served by established urban infrastructure — schools, medical facilities and retail — new apartment supply has been relatively scarce.
Dongbu is targeting buyers who want a newly built apartment without leaving their existing neighborhood. The company said it incorporated specialized designs for individual unit layouts and community facilities from the earliest stages of the project.
Inside each unit, storage space and kitchen circulation have been redesigned to maximize usability. The 39th floor — the complex's top level — will house a sky community space designed to take advantage of panoramic views and an open feel.
Resident amenities will include a fitness center, golf practice facility, children's space and a guesthouse. AI-based residential services will also be introduced to improve convenience in daily life and the efficiency of building management.
Dongbu said Nam Chuncheon Centreville reflects its broader strategy of tailoring products to local lifestyle characteristics. As the company expands its Centreville brand across urban renewal projects in the greater Seoul area and housing developments nationwide, it aims to translate construction experience and product-planning capabilities into stronger brand competitiveness.
"Nam Chuncheon Centreville is a project we have invested considerable effort in from the contracting stage, carefully considering local residential demand and lifestyle characteristics to sharpen the product's competitiveness," a Dongbu official said. "We will deliver residential value that customers can genuinely feel, backed by differentiated design and quality."
A model house for Nam Chuncheon Centreville is scheduled to open this month in the Seoksa-dong area of Chuncheon.
