Oversized head and zero-torque design aim to boost putting stability
Callaway Golf Korea announced Thursday the domestic launch of the Odyssey TRTL MAX S2S putter.
The new model joins the existing TRTL lineup, combining a zero-torque design with an oversized head to enhance putting stability. It retains the face-twist-minimizing characteristics of the original S2S model while increasing head size and weight.
Lightweight materials are placed at the center and sole of the head, with heavier materials along the perimeter to raise the moment of inertia (MOI). Four 10-gram weights — two at the front and two at the rear of the sole — reduce head wobble on off-center strikes.
An "Ai-Star Insert" combining a urethane front and aluminum back improves feel and distance consistency, while a "Dual Track Alignment" system — two thick alignment lines on the top of the head — aids aim. The putter also features a "Stroke Lab 120 Black" shaft angled 2 degrees toward the face.
"This product combines the zero-torque technology of the original S2S with an oversized head and high MOI," a Callaway Golf Korea official said. "It will be a good option for golfers who want a stable stroke even on mishits."
