Modoo Tour combines the 2026 Dalat Green International Marathon with local sightseeing and cuisine in a new sports-themed travel package targeting runners of all levels.
A new travel package combining a marathon through the natural landscapes of Dalat, Vietnam, with local culinary experiences has hit the market. The product stands out for offering course options that cater to both beginners and seasoned runners.
Modoo Tour said Thursday it has launched a "Dalat Run-Trip" package timed to the 2026 Dalat Green International Marathon, set for Nov. 22 in Dalat, Vietnam. The sports-themed product pairs international marathon participation with visits to Dalat's key attractions and local dining, riding the growing trend of "run-trips" — travel built around running events.
The 2026 Dalat Green International Marathon is an international running event co-organized by the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and Dahai International (DHI Group), among others, with goals of promoting environmental protection, public health and tourism. The event runs Nov. 21-22 around Lam Vien Square and Xuan Huong Lake in Dalat, where participants can take in natural scenery as they run along the lake and through the city center.
The marathon takes place during a local Korea-Vietnam cultural exchange event. Modoo Tour will offer three packages corresponding to the race's 5-kilometer, 10-kilometer and 21-kilometer courses on the official race day, Nov. 22. The company said it will handle race registration on behalf of participants and cover the full entry fee.
Beyond the marathon, the itinerary includes visits to Dalat's top attractions — the Flower Garden, Dalat Railway Station with its French colonial architecture, the Valley of Love, Xuan Huong Lake and the Stairway to Heaven. Meals feature a mix of local Vietnamese staples such as bun cha and banh xeo alongside hansik. Full package details are available on Modoo Tour's official website and mobile app.
Won Jong-su, head of Modoo Tour's Southeast Asia business division, said the package was designed as a themed trip for customers who share a passion for running, combining an international marathon with tourism and dining. "We will continue to expand our lineup of specialized theme products tailored to customers' tastes and travel goals," Won said.
