Incheon's Jeomulpo-gu district will offer special year-end benefits on its Jeomulpo e-eum local payment card.
The district announced Thursday that it will hold a "Jeomulpo e-eum Year-End Extra Cashback Event" for two months from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, while extending the fee waiver for standard card issuance by one additional year.
Earlier, the district offered a total of 15 percent cashback through a special event held during the chuseok holiday in September.
During the event period, residents who pay at affiliated merchants within Jeomulpo-gu using the Jeomulpo e-eum card will receive a combined 15 percent discount — the existing 10 percent base cashback from the Incheon e-eum system plus an additional 5 percent from the district itself. The monthly spending cap is 500,000 won ($377), subject to the Incheon e-eum integrated limit.
The district is also expanding its fee support policy to make card issuance more accessible to residents.
It decided to extend the standard card issuance fee waiver — originally planned for three months — to a full year, running from Sept. 1, 2026, through Aug. 31, 2027.
During that period, residents will be able to obtain a standard card at no cost. However, cards with a transit payment function are excluded from the support.
Starting Sept. 1, 2027, the fee waiver will end, and residents will be responsible for issuance fees of 3,000 won for a standard card and 5,500 won for a transit card.
