Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency launches essay contest for its 2026 social-value youth work experience support project through Nov. 6; eight winners to receive agency director awards and prize money across two categories
The Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency announced Monday it is holding an essay contest to collect outstanding cases from its 2026 social-value youth work experience support project.
The contest aims to uncover and share real-world success stories from companies and young people who took part in the project, helping to publicize the outcomes and social value generated through youth work experience at social enterprises.
Eligible applicants are companies and young people who are currently participating in, or have completed, the 2026 social-value youth work experience support project.
Entries in the company category should focus on social value created through running youth work experience programs and positive organizational changes resulting from hiring young workers. Entries in the youth category should address participants' deepened understanding of social enterprises, improvements in job skills, and personal growth and career changes gained through the work experience.
A panel of judges will select eight winning entries across the two categories — one grand prize, one excellence award and two encouragement awards in each — and present winners with the agency director's citation along with prize money.
The winning cases will be shared at a results forum in Seoul on Dec. 1. Further details about the contest are available through the announcement posted on the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency's website and through the contest organizing secretariat.
Companies and young people wishing to enter should check the announcement on the agency's website, complete the required documents — including an application form and a written account of their experience — and submit them by email no later than Nov. 6.
"This contest is an opportunity to share the meaningful changes and achievements that social enterprises and young people have created together through work experience," said Kang Yun-jeong, a division head at the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency. "We hope many participating companies and young people will take an interest and join us so that stories of social value creation and youth growth can spread widely."
