About 3,600 videos uploaded; cumulative views reach 830 million
Baby panda clips, K-pop star collaborations drive popularity
Everland's official YouTube channel, operated by Samsung C&T's resort division, has become the first in the travel and leisure industry to surpass 2 million subscribers.
According to Samsung C&T, the channel crossed the 2 million mark on Sunday — about three years and three months after earning YouTube's Gold Play Button for reaching 1 million subscribers in July 2023.
"The popularity is attributed to our active engagement with customers through diverse and entertaining content covering everything Everland has to offer — from the panda family and other animals and plants to performances, attractions and cast members," a Samsung C&T resort division official said.
The channel has uploaded about 3,600 videos to date, accumulating roughly 830 million views. The park has recently expanded its short-form content to strengthen engagement with customers in their teens and 20s.
Videos featuring the panda family have been among the channel's most popular content. Clips documenting the birth and growth of baby pandas — from Fubao to Ruibao and Huibao, and most recently Shubao — as well as their interactions with zookeepers, have drawn strong viewership.
This past summer, collaboration content with K-pop artists including IVE, fromis_9 and RESCENE during Caribbean Bay's Water Music Pool Party also helped grow the subscriber base.
More recently, a video of Ateez member San — the main model for Blood City, the signature horror theme zone of the park's autumn festival — transforming into a "zombie idol" accumulated 20 million views across social media platforms.
To mark the milestone, Everland is running a promotional event through Sunday in which 100 winners selected from celebratory comments left on an event video will each receive 20,000 Som Points, redeemable like cash at the park.
