Priced at 299,000 won, available in black only; comfort, sound and call quality highlighted as key strengths
Samsung Electronics has launched the Galaxy Buds On, its first clip-type earphones, in South Korea. The device is designed to deliver strong performance in comfort, sound quality and call clarity.
Samsung Electronics said Tuesday it is releasing the Galaxy Buds On in South Korea. Priced at 299,000 won ($226), the earphones are available in a single black colorway and can be purchased through online channels including Samsung.com and open-market platforms, as well as at Samsung stores and other offline retailers nationwide.
According to Samsung Electronics' own research, respondents identified comfortable fit, rich sound and clear call quality as the top features they expect from clip-type wireless earphones.
The Galaxy Buds On's clip-type design minimizes discomfort during extended wear. Because the earphones do not seal the ear canal, users can remain naturally aware of sounds around them.
The earphones also use a shape-memory alloy that flexes to conform to the shape of the ear, ensuring a snug and even fit. Samsung says the design provides a comfortable wearing experience during everyday activities as well as high-movement exercise.
On the audio and communications side, the Galaxy Buds On incorporates Twin Boost speakers for deep bass, sound-leakage reduction technology to minimize audio bleed, and Intelligent Clear Call for sharper voice quality during calls.
When paired with a Galaxy AI-compatible smartphone or tablet, the Galaxy Buds On also supports a range of hands-free functions, including AI assistant voice activation, head gestures and Quick Voice Memo.
In addition, Samsung Electronics will offer customers who purchase the Galaxy Buds On from Tuesday through Nov. 30 two coupons for 30 percent off Galaxy Buds accessories on Samsung.com. The coupons can be issued on the event page and are valid on eligible accessories from Tuesday through Dec. 20, with the discount applied against Samsung.com's standard prices.
"The Galaxy Buds On will give consumers who want to enjoy music while staying aware of their surroundings a new option," said Jung Ho-jin, executive vice president of Samsung Electronics' Korea business. "We encourage customers to visit Samsung stores and other offline retailers nationwide to experience the comfortable fit and rich sound for themselves."
