Jejuair announced Monday it has launched two new pre-order cold-meal options for its international flights.

The new items — a teriyaki chicken wrap and a basil chicken ciabatta sandwich — are served cold without heating. Their addition expands the cold-meal pre-order lineup on short-haul international routes from three items to five.

The teriyaki chicken wrap features teriyaki-glazed chicken and vegetables rolled in a tortilla, priced at 9,000 won. The basil chicken ciabatta sandwich is made with rye ciabatta bread, basil-sauced chicken, romaine lettuce and tomato, priced at 12,000 won.

The new items are available on most international routes, excluding select services. Passengers can pre-order up to 72 hours before departure through Jejuair's website, mobile web or app. To mark the launch, Jejuair is offering a 2,000 won discount on each item through Nov. 18, bringing the prices to 7,000 won and 10,000 won respectively.

"We introduced the new menu items with an eye toward the diverse tastes of customers who want to enjoy a light meal on board," a Jejuair official said. "We will continue to improve customer satisfaction by offering in-flight meal options that reflect passenger preferences and convenience."

Meanwhile, Jejuair will launch service on the Incheon–Sendai route starting Jan. 8, operating three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, further expanding its access to smaller Japanese cities. The carrier transported about 3.7 million passengers on its Japan routes in the first three quarters of this year, up 29 percent from about 2.87 million in the same period last year.
