Promotion runs from November through April next year
Coupang Inc announced Monday a new promotion for its Wow card, partnering with KB Kookmin Card and Visa to offer up to 75,000 won ($57) in monthly rewards with no minimum spending requirement from the previous month.
The promotion runs from Nov. 1 through April 30 next year. During that period, Wow card customers will earn 3.5 percent Coupang Cash on purchases made through Coupang, Coupang Eats and Coupang Play, regardless of prior-month spending, up to a monthly cap of 35,000 won.
Purchases at online and offline merchants earn a 1 percent reward rate, with a monthly cap of 10,000 won.
Rewards also apply at convenience stores, cafes and overseas merchants. Customers earn an additional 1 percent — up to 10,000 won per month — at GS25, CU, Seven-Eleven and E-mart24. The same additional 1 percent benefit, also capped at 10,000 won monthly, applies at major domestic coffee brands including Starbucks, Twosome Place and Mega MGC Coffee, as well as at independently owned cafes.
Online and offline purchases made abroad also earn an additional 1 percent, up to 10,000 won per month.
Alongside the promotion, Coupang unveiled three new card designs. "We will provide more benefits that customers can enjoy in their everyday lives," a company official said.
