President Lee Jae Myung on Monday congratulated Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on his reelection, sending a message of close friendship and solidarity.

Lee posted on X, formerly Twitter: "President Lula, my special friend and comrade, I congratulate you on your election victory with the greatest of joy."

"I believe you will continue to play a great role, backed by the trust and expectations the Brazilian people have placed in you," Lee said. "I sincerely cheer you on as you march boldly toward the future of Brazil that you have envisioned."

Lee also expressed anticipation of a future reunion, underscoring the close bond between the two leaders. "Remembering the conversations and laughter we shared, I look forward to the day we meet again," he said. "Once again, my most sincere congratulations."
