Airtech parkas, fluffy fleece top sellers for adults and kids
Offline sales account for 87%, 86% of adult and children's brand revenue
Shinsung Tongsang announced Tuesday that its SPA brand Topten10 and children's clothing brand Topten Kids generated 30.9 billion won ($23.3 million) in sales within three days of launching their second-half Tenten Day event — up 11 percent from the same period last year.
Tenten Day expanded to twice a year starting this year, with the first event held in May. The current event runs through Nov. 8 at Topten and Topten Kids stores nationwide and on the company's online store, Topten Mall.
In the adult category, Airtech Thermaloft women's and men's parkas ranked first and second in sales. At Topten Kids, the Airtech parka and a fluffy fleece zip-up took the top two spots. The brand's thermal innerwear line, On Air, also placed in the top 10 for both adult and children's sales.
Offline sales accounted for 87 percent of Topten revenue and 86 percent of Topten Kids revenue. An online pre-opening event held Thursday — the day before the sale officially launched — generated 1 billion won in sales within four hours. "We will develop this into the brand's signature event by delivering competitive seasonal products at reasonable prices," a Topten official said.
