Six startups in AI-based residential services, logistics and senior care share field-testing results
Samsung C&T's construction division held its open-innovation event, the 2026 Futurescape Demo Day, at its headquarters in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, the company announced Tuesday.
Futurescape is an open-innovation program co-organized with the Seoul Business Agency (SBA) that identifies startups with promising technologies and supports field testing and joint commercialization through Samsung C&T's project infrastructure. The six startups selected this year began a three-month pilot program with a kickoff meeting in July.
The demo day featured a range of technology solutions aimed at digitally transforming living and working spaces, including AI-powered home care, smart booths and in-building logistics.
Participating companies presented the results of pilots conducted at actual residential complexes and on Samsung C&T's key platforms, and outlined their commercialization prospects and potential areas of collaboration.
Home&Co verified a model allowing residents to conveniently access standardized home care and repair services through Homenic, Samsung C&T's integrated residential lifestyle care platform. Le Monde ran an AI-based learning service for residents at a Raemian complex, confirming the feasibility of integrating digital education services into residential spaces.
Diver applied a logistics solution that automates parcel reception and robot dispatch in office buildings, while Inbus proposed ways to improve space utilization through modular smart booths that are easy to install and relocate.
Team Elysium showcased a service that uses 3D sensors to analyze individual musculoskeletal health and physical balance and deliver the data to users. CplatAI confirmed the potential of its senior care application through a conversation-based wellness check and emotional engagement service.
Samsung C&T has pursued various collaborations with startups that demonstrated commercialization potential through Futurescape since 2023. Notable outcomes include integrating healthcare device connectivity and a counseling AI model into the AI wellness solution Welpy, and deploying a construction-specific AI translation solution to prevent safety accidents among foreign workers across multiple sites.
Building on the field-testing results from this demo day, Samsung C&T plans to move into concrete collaboration with the participating startups — including refining their services, applying them to residential complexes and embedding them in its own platforms.
Hyeong Si-won, senior vice president and head of Samsung C&T's DxP Business Strategy Team, said Futurescape is an open-innovation program where startups' innovative technologies meet Samsung C&T's spatial and platform infrastructure to create customer value. He added that the company will continue to deliver new value to customers through close collaboration with outstanding startups.
