North Gyeongsang Province announced Tuesday that it has won the grand prize in the metropolitan government category at the 16th Korea SNS Awards 2026 for the fourth consecutive year.
Alongside this, an APEC promotional song produced by the province's official YouTube channel, Boisso TV, took a bronze award at the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards.
The awards ceremony was held in Seoul on Monday. The Korea SNS Awards are hosted by the Korea Social Contents Promotion Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
North Gyeongsang Province earned high marks for communicating with residents through content covering provincial news, local attractions and regional food. Its YouTube and social media channel operations received strong ratings from both expert evaluators and user votes.
Boisso TV won the bronze in the marketing innovation category at the 2026 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards for a promotional song written and composed using generative AI, released ahead of the APEC summit.
Building on these wins, the province plans to expand promotional content targeting overseas audiences. Amid growing international attention to K-food, it will launch a series called "K-Foodmentary" to introduce North Gyeongsang's culinary offerings to the world.
The name combines "food" and "documentary." Each episode follows a journey abroad carrying a signature local specialty from one of the province's cities or counties, capturing locals as they experience North Gyeongsang flavors on camera.
The first episode travels to Mongolia with Andong salted mackerel and is set to premiere on Boisso TV in December.
"Winning the grand prize four years in a row is the result of our efforts to listen closely to residents and reach out to them first," North Gyeongsang Province spokesperson Park Sang-hyun said. "Administrative communications must go beyond simply conveying policy — they must earn empathy and open a genuine conversation."
