'Petkurte Geonganghage Project Wal RX' hits shelves in dual-format design combining kibble and freeze-dried probiotic cubes
Hy launched its first pet food product Wednesday — a functional pet food called "Petkurte Geonganghage Project Wal RX" (Wal RX) that pairs kibble with freeze-dried probiotic cubes.
Wal RX comes in three varieties: Gut & Immunity Intensive, Joint Solution and Hypoallergenic Solution, each formulated with a different blend of bacterial strains to suit specific health needs. All three include hy's patented probiotic strains HY7017 and HP7.
The Gut & Immunity Intensive variety contains the MPRO3 strain, which may support intestinal health. The Joint Solution variety includes HY7715, which may help reduce muscle loss. The Hypoallergenic Solution contains HY7714, which may support skin health, along with hyPET, a strain developed exclusively for pets.
The probiotic cubes are freeze-dried so pets can consume live bacteria. The kibble is chicken-based and contains no synthetic preservatives or sweeteners. Products are packaged in 400-gram portions for convenience.
The Gut & Immunity Intensive and Joint Solution varieties are available now, with the Hypoallergenic Solution set to launch in November. All products can be purchased through the total pet care platform QtoPet, the hy Fredit online store and major retail channels. Hy also plans to donate the new pet food to animal welfare organizations including the Korea Animal Freedom Union and animal rights group Care.
