Actor Han Ji-min has been appointed a promotional ambassador for the Seoul National University Hospital Support Association.
Seoul National University Hospital announced on Wednesday that it named Han a promotional ambassador for the support association on Oct. 23.
Han has consistently engaged in charitable giving and community service. Last December, Han donated 100 million won ($75,500) to Seoul National University Children's Hospital.
"The children I met at the hospital stayed with me, and I wanted to be even a small source of strength for them," Han said. "I will gladly take part in any way I can as an ambassador and actively contribute to the support association's various activities."
Han will serve alongside actor Choi Woo-shik as a promotional ambassador for the Seoul National University Hospital Support Association, raising awareness of charitable giving in the medical field and helping to spread a culture of sharing.
Meanwhile, the Seoul National University Hospital Support Association was founded in 2005 and runs a range of programs to advance medical care and support patients — backing the hospital's education, research, clinical services and public health initiatives, as well as assisting patients facing financial hardship.
