Korea District Heating held its first integrity citizens' auditor advisory meeting of 2026 on Tuesday, led by Standing Audit Committee Member Lee Se-geol.
Nine people attended the meeting, including three integrity citizens' auditors, the standing audit committee member and other audit office officials.
Korea District Heating's integrity citizens' auditor system has operated as a preemptive corruption-control framework since its introduction in 2012, now spanning roughly 14 years. For this cycle, the company newly appointed two experts in law and corporate social responsibility alongside existing auditors specializing in integrity and anti-corruption policy, strengthening the program's expertise and credibility.
Following the appointment ceremony, the first agenda item covered audit findings requested by the integrity citizens' auditors — examining the appropriateness of discretionary contracts, compliance with contracting procedures, and the execution of support projects for communities near power plants. The second item presented achievements from efforts to address corruption-vulnerable areas in the disbursement of industrial safety and health management costs, with the auditors' advisory opinions on the results also heard.
