Averaging 139 vehicles a year over 29 years since joining in 1997
41st Grand Master honored with plaque and vehicle
Kia announced Friday that Lee Dong-sun, a senior auto consultant at its Chungcheong Asan branch, has achieved cumulative sales of 4,000 vehicles, earning the automaker's "Grand Master" title.
Grand Master is a designation Kia bestows on auto consultants who reach 4,000 cumulative vehicle sales. Lee joined the company in 1997 and averaged 139 vehicles a year over 29 years, becoming the 41st consultant to earn the title. Kia presented Lee with a commemorative plaque and a vehicle.
"I have done my best by constantly reflecting on myself so as not to lose sight of my original commitment," Lee said. "I will never forget my gratitude for the precious relationships I have built with customers, and I will always give my best."
Kia operates a range of recognition programs — including a long-term sales honor award system and the Kia Star Awards — to boost the pride of auto consultants working in the field and encourage healthy sales competition.
Under the long-term sales honor award system, consultants receive the title of "Star" upon reaching 2,000 cumulative sales, "Master" at 3,000, "Grand Master" at 4,000 and "Great Master" at 5,000.
In July, Hwang Kyeong-ha, a senior auto consultant at Kia's Anyang branch in Gyeonggi Province, was also named a Grand Master.
Meanwhile, Kia plans to add a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle variant to the Carnival's successor lineup and begin production at its Gwangmyeong Plant 1 from 2029.
