Samsung Life Insurance launches November direct insurance event

Samsung Life Insurance announced Friday that it will hold a "November Direct Insurance Event" through its Samsung Life Direct channel, targeting customers looking to strengthen health coverage and prepare for retirement.

The event runs from Sunday through Nov. 30. Customers who wish to participate can check eligible products and enrollment conditions on the event page of the Samsung Life Direct website. The promotion is open to new policyholders, and prizes will be awarded by the end of February 2027 to those who complete three premium payments and maintain their policies in good standing.

For protection-type products, customers will receive Naver Pay points ranging from 10,000 won ($7) to a maximum of 20,000 won, depending on their premium tier. Eligible products include Samsung Pack health insurance (in comprehensive, cancer-brain-heart, and brain-heart configurations), Samsung Internet term life insurance, Samsung Internet (non-)renewable cancer insurance, Samsung Internet (light simplified) hospitalization health insurance, Samsung Internet (new simplified) cancer treatment insurance, Samsung Internet dental insurance, and Samsung Internet (new simplified) brain and heart health insurance.

A parallel enrollment event for financial products aimed at retirement planning runs over the same period. New customers signing up for Samsung Refund Pension Savings Insurance or Samsung Internet NEW Annuity Insurance with a monthly premium of at least 250,000 won will receive 30,000 won in Naver Pay points per product. New customers enrolling in Samsung Immediate Annuity Insurance, Samsung Single-Premium Annuity Insurance or Samsung Investment Annuity Insurance with a first payment of at least 50 million won will also receive 30,000 won in Naver Pay points. For Ddabak Ddabak Annuity Insurance — a product exclusive to the Monimo platform — new customers paying a monthly premium of at least 100,000 won will receive 30,000 Monimoney points.

"We put together this November event so customers can look at both health coverage and retirement preparation at the same time," a Samsung Life Insurance official said. "We hope it gives customers a chance to identify the coverage they need and explore the benefits of each product."

Samsung Life's monthly direct insurance events are part of a broader push to expand its non-face-to-face sales channels. According to the Korea Life Insurance Association, the company's cyber-marketing channel collected first-year premiums of 15.19 billion won in the first half of this year, reaching 85 percent of its full-year figure of 17.9 billion won for last year.
