Group to strengthen field-centered management led by executives
Promotions aimed at cultivating next-generation leadership
Ecopro Group promoted 14 executives — three to executive vice president and 11 to senior managing director — as part of its regular personnel reshuffle aimed at strengthening future competitiveness and cultivating next-generation management talent, the company said Friday.
Through the reshuffle, Ecopro Group said it plans to reinforce field-centered management activities led by its executive corps.
The three newly promoted executive vice presidents are Oh Sang-young of Ecopro BM, Lee Jong-cheol of Ecopro Materials and Choi Seon-mi of Ecopro Innovation, all previously serving as senior managing directors.
Six directors at Ecopro, the group's holding company, were elevated to senior managing director: Oh Kyung-hwan, Lee Kang-hyeok, Lim Ho-gyun, Jo Jang-hun, Chae Mun-yeong and Choi Woo-yeong. Five more promotions came from subsidiaries — Son Yong-ju and Choi Jin-hyeong of Ecopro HN, Jeong Hyeon-su of Ecopro BM, Yu Min-cheol of Ecopro EM and Lee Je-hui of Ecopro Materials.
The promotions recognized executives who bolstered the stability and credibility of Ecopro Group's management while laying the groundwork for future competitiveness amid a rapidly shifting business environment. Their track records in expanding overseas orders, raising sales competitiveness and actively pursuing next-generation technology development were also taken into account.
"This reshuffle is designed to select talent with both proven performance and growth potential, deepen the pool of candidates for future leadership and systematically cultivate the next generation of leaders who will drive the group's mid- to long-term growth," an Ecopro official said. "We will continue talent-centered management under the principle of fair reward for results, and keep strengthening the group's future competitiveness."
Meanwhile, Ecopro held a ceremony marking its 28th founding anniversary at its Pohang campus in North Gyeongsang Province on Oct. 22. The event featured a review of the company's growth history and a discussion of strategies for securing technological competitiveness in response to shifts in the battery materials industry.
