An Ji-min scores first hole-in-one at KPGA Lexus Masters, wins electric vehicle

Lexus Korea announced Friday that the first hole-in-one of the Korea Professional Golf Association's 2026 Lexus Masters was recorded on the tournament's opening day. The feat was achieved by An Ji-min, 25, who will receive the All-New Lexus ES 350e Premium — a premium electric sedan launched domestically on Oct. 13 — as the prize.

An sank the hole-in-one Thursday on the par-3, 172-yard 9th hole of the Ocean Course at Wonder Club Club72CC on Yeongjongdo, Incheon, during the first round of the tournament. It marks the first time a Lexus vehicle has been awarded as a hole-in-one prize since the Lexus Masters was established.

The 9th hole holds particular significance as the tournament's signature hole, where a "Masters Lounge" operates — a special space where players choose their own walk-up music and fans cheer freely — adding to the charged atmosphere on the day.

"This is my second hole-in-one of the season, and I'm thrilled to also receive a car as a prize," An said. "It was especially meaningful to do it on the 9th hole, where I could share the moment with the fans. Right after the shot I did a ceremony forming Lexus's 'L,' but I was so caught up in the moment I forgot to toss the ball to the fans."

The All-New Lexus ES 350e Premium awarded as the hole-in-one prize is provided by Lexus Incheon, an official Lexus dealer. The vehicle is the battery electric vehicle (BEV) variant of the eighth-generation, fully redesigned All-New ES, which went on sale in South Korea on Oct. 13.

The electric vehicle delivers the smooth, instantaneous acceleration characteristic of EVs and offers a maximum range of 478 kilometers on a single charge, based on Korea's combined certification standard.

Konyama Manabu, president of Lexus Korea, congratulated An on the achievement. "We will continue to deliver a differentiated tournament experience unique to the Lexus Masters — providing players with a stage for challenge and golf fans with a special experience filled with passion and excitement," Konyama said.

Five par-3 holes at the Ocean Course at Wonder Club Club72CC carry hole-in-one prizes during the 2026 Lexus Masters. The Lexus NX 350h premium hybrid SUV is on offer at holes 3 and 8, while the All-New Lexus ES 350e is the prize at holes 9 and 17. At hole 12, Ceragem's Master V11 and Pause M6 are up for grabs.

Meanwhile, Lexus Korea has been expanding its customer touchpoints through a range of marketing activities, including the fall season program "Amazing Fashion" under its luxury lifestyle curation program "Road & Memory by Lexus."
