T-ara's Soyeon announces pregnancy four years after marriage: 'I'm going to be a boy mom'

Soyeon, a former member of K-pop group T-ara, has announced a pregnancy with soccer player Jo Yu-min four years after their marriage.

According to Sportv News, Soyeon shared the news Sunday on social media, saying she wanted to deliver "precious and joyful news" on the couple's fourth wedding anniversary.

"Our baby will be born soon. I've actually been waddling around with a big belly," Soyeon wrote, sharing ultrasound photos.

Soyeon also reflected on the difficult period Jo had endured. After their wedding, Jo spent four years chasing a second World Cup appearance after completing the first. "He made it onto the final roster for the 2026 World Cup, and just as we were about to celebrate, he had to return home after sustaining an injury during a group-stage match in the United States," Soyeon said.

"While we were getting through the biggest trial of his career together, God gave us a precious life on a day we never expected. I think it was a miracle," Soyeon said, adding that she had been "grateful every day since learning of the baby's existence and enjoying this time with our little one."

Soyeon added the hashtags "#YearOfTheSheepMom #BoyMom — that's me," confirming the baby is a boy.

Soyeon married Jo, who is nine years her junior, in 2022.
