Kangwon Land Forest Healing Foundation opens registration for wellness program to help children and teenagers build healthier media habits and prevent digital overimmersion
The Kangwon Land Forest Healing Foundation announced Monday it is accepting group applications for its 2027 Children and Youth Digital Overimmersion Prevention Program, designed to help young people develop healthier media habits.
The foundation's overimmersion prevention camp is a specialized therapeutic program for children and teenagers at risk of excessive smartphone and gaming use. It draws on forest resources and wellness infrastructure to support participants' physical and emotional recovery.
The foundation provided the overimmersion prevention program to 2,600 children and teenagers this year and plans to run tailored prevention camps each quarter next year.
Applications for the first-quarter 2027 program are open from Monday through Nov. 27. Eligible applicants include institutions designated as socially disadvantaged under the Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency's criteria, organizations serving vulnerable populations, and elementary, middle and high schools under the Ministry of Education.
Selected organizations will be notified individually by Dec. 11 following a review. Application details are available on the official website of the Kangwon Land Forest Healing Foundation (Hi-Healing Won).
