Home&Shopping teams up with 'Duyu Couple' for seasonal seafood live commerce event

Home&Shopping announced Tuesday it will air a seasonal seafood special on its mobile live commerce channel "Home&LIVE" from 10:10 to 11:10 a.m. Wednesday.

YouTube influencer duo Duyu Couple will appear on the broadcast to introduce the featured products and explain how to prepare them. Items on sale include 1 kilogram of same-day-harvested fresh oysters from Tongyeong, a set of 10 dried Pacific saury (20 pieces) from Guryongpo with a vegetable accompaniment, and 10 cleaned whole squid. A 20 percent additional discount coupon will be available on all products during the broadcast.

The broadcast will use a picture-in-picture (PIP) format, keeping the live stream visible in a small window even as viewers navigate to other products or menus within the Home&Shopping app. The feature links the viewing experience with in-app shopping, allowing customers to browse other products without losing the live feed.

The oysters are processed on the day of harvest at the Tongyeong production site. The dried Pacific saury comes packaged with a vegetable set, and the squid is pre-cleaned and individually portioned.

A purchase verification event will also run alongside the broadcast. Ten customers per featured product — 30 in total — will be selected by lottery to receive bonus items: 1 kilogram of fresh oysters, five dried Pacific saury (10 pieces), or four whole squid, respectively.

A Home&Shopping official said the company prepared the broadcast to help customers easily and vividly learn about seasonal seafood with the Duyu Couple, and to let them conveniently watch the live stream while browsing the app through the PIP feature.
