The two companies are jointly pursuing a global AI factory project
Exchange rate fluctuations reduced new share count by 680,000 from initial estimate
The alliance between Nvidia and Naver has deepened. Nvidia has invested around 1.3 trillion won ($969 million) to acquire a 4.13% stake in Naver.
Naver said Tuesday that the won-denominated proceeds from Nvidia's $1 billion investment had been finalized at 1.34 trillion won, issuing a corrected regulatory disclosure.
Nvidia will subscribe to 6,558,435 newly issued Naver shares at 204,500 won per share. Once payment is completed Friday, Nvidia will hold approximately 4.13% of Naver.
Compared with the earlier preliminary figures, the won-denominated investment amount fell by about 139.7 billion won and the number of new shares decreased by roughly 680,000. The adjustments reflect exchange rate fluctuations; the investment amount in dollar terms remains unchanged.
The investment is part of a joint project between Naver and Nvidia to build global AI factories. Naver will lead the construction and operation of data centers, while Nvidia will supply GPUs.
