The North Gyeongsang Provincial Assembly will hold its 367th second regular session — the last of this year — from Friday through Dec. 18, a 43-day schedule, the assembly announced Thursday.
The session will cover administrative policy questions and audits, along with reviews of the 2027 budget proposals for North Gyeongsang Province and its provincial education office, a 2026 supplementary budget bill, and various livelihood-related ordinances.
Particularly notable are the first administrative audit since the 13th Assembly took office and the review of next year's main budget. Through these, lawmakers will examine the overall direction of provincial governance and education administration and focus on policies and fiscal measures that can bring tangible improvements to residents' daily lives.
At the first plenary session on Friday, Assembly members Jeong Yong-chae, Jeong Yun-tae and Do Hui-jae will each pose policy questions on topics including closing gaps in wildfire damage compensation, addressing the fishing industry crisis in Ulleung-gun, and opening school sports facilities to the public while preventing redundant investment.
Beginning Monday, the assembly will conduct a 14-day administrative audit covering 82 agencies, including the provincial government, the education office, and affiliated and invested institutions.
At the second plenary session on Nov. 23, the provincial governor and the superintendent of education will deliver budget speeches on their 2027 proposals, followed by additional policy questions.
The third plenary session on Dec. 9 will take up next year's budget and ordinance bills. The fourth plenary session on Dec. 18 will vote on the supplementary budget and other measures to close out this year's legislative calendar.
Assembly Speaker Kim Hui-su said the session "must be one that answers residents' demands through policy and budgets," adding that the administrative audit should be "a productive one that leads to systemic improvements grounded in on-the-ground voices and tips from the public."
