PPP's Pohang mayoral candidate wraps up 103-day campaign

Park Yong-seon, the People Power Party's candidate for Pohang mayor, concluded his 103-day campaign Monday with a final rally in front of the Goddess Statue at Songdo Beach in Nam-gu.

Assembly members Kim Jeong-jae and Lee Sang-hwi, along with a large number of local council candidates, attended the closing event.

On the final day of campaigning, Park began the morning greeting commuters at Hyangsan Rotary, then held a meeting with representatives of Pohang's corporate taxi operators to hear about challenges facing the industry, before canvassing across the city.

"June 3 is the moment to choose a new leap forward for Pohang," Park said. "We must end the era of conflict and division that has long held back Pohang's development and move toward a new era of administrative unity — one that brings all of Pohang's strengths together."
