Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities donates 6 vehicles to Gyeonggi Province technical school

The Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities has donated six training vehicles to Gyeonggi Province Technical School, combining vocational education support with resource recycling as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.

The agency held a vehicle donation ceremony at the school Monday, handing over six cars for use in the smart mobility department's curriculum. The donated vehicles will be used in automotive maintenance and mobility vocational training courses to help students build practical, hands-on skills.

The donation is part of the agency's social contribution program called the Carisma Project — a name combining the Korean word for car with "recycling" and "sharing." The initiative repurposes retired agency vehicles by donating them to educational institutions, pursuing environmental protection and education support at the same time.

The agency has donated end-of-service vehicles to Gyeonggi Province Technical School for student training since 2021, bringing the total provided through this month to 27.

"It is deeply meaningful to be able to repurpose decommissioned vehicles as training assets that help students develop their technical skills," said Lee Young-woo, head of the agency's communications and cooperation division. "We will continue our social contribution activities across a wide range of areas."
