Presidential chief of staff to visit new Assembly speaker Tuesday

Presidential Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-sik will visit the National Assembly on Tuesday morning to call on newly elected Speaker Cho Jeong-sik and Deputy Speakers Nam In-soon and Park Deok-heum, Cheong Wa Dae said.

Presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung announced the schedule Monday, saying the visit would include the senior political affairs secretary and others, and that the delegation would convey the president's congratulations to the newly formed Assembly leadership.

Kang Yu-jung added that Kang Hoon-sik planned to exchange views on ways to communicate and cooperate closely with the National Assembly, which she described as "a partner in governing the country."
