Companies from South Jeolla Province, Gwangju and Jeju gather for export festival with business centers from 19 countries

2026 Export Festival opens

The "2026 Export Festival," aimed at expanding overseas market access for leading companies in South Jeolla Province, Gwangju and Jeju and building global business networks, will be held Thursday and Friday at Sono Calm Hotel near Odongdo in Yeosu.

Now in its fifth year, the festival is jointly organized by Jeonnam Technopark, Gwangju Technopark and Suncheon University, with cooperation from Jeju Technopark and the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, as an export support event for regional businesses.

The event will bring together 34 global buyers and representatives from overseas business centers in 19 countries — including the United States, China, Japan, Germany, Vietnam and Indonesia — for one-on-one export consultations with local companies.

A total of 68 regional companies will take part in the consultations — 33 from South Jeolla Province, 31 from Gwangju and four from Jeju — with around 250 attendees expected overall, including overseas business center representatives, buyers and officials from related organizations.

Planned activities over the two days include a global buyer matching export consultation session, a seminar on overseas market entry strategies, export consulting, business networking among companies, and the signing of export contracts and MOUs.

Oh Ik-hyeon, president of Jeonnam Technopark, said the organization would actively support the festival "so that it can serve as an opportunity to create new export openings for regional companies and strengthen their global competitiveness."
