Video lectures to support multilingual translation in 13 languages
Gwangju University (President Kim Dong-jin) held a launch briefing for its "AI-based LMS Development Project" to introduce an adaptive learning management system powered by AI technology.
The briefing, held June 2 in a smart classroom on the third floor of the university's administration building, presented plans to build a range of services including AI-driven learning support features. Key functions include multilingual translation of video lectures in 13 languages and a two-factor authentication system. The university aims to create a learner-centered education environment while strengthening security.
UOK Co. will carry out the system's development and construction. During the process, the university plans to gather input from faculty and staff to reflect a wide range of needs and on-the-ground feedback.
"This AI-based LMS project is an important starting point for building a digital education environment that gives students a more effective learning experience while improving convenience and operational efficiency for instructors and administrators," President Kim said. "We will continue to expand education services that satisfy all members of the university community."
