Daegu Haany University's Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation Glocal Marketing Support Center has partnered with SKINEXPRESSO, a Hungary-based K-beauty retail company, to push into the Eastern European K-beauty market.
According to Daegu Haany University, the university's Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation Glocal Marketing Support Center recently held a "Cooperation Meeting to Achieve $1 Million Export Target in Eastern Europe" with SKINEXPRESSO, discussing strategies for entering the Eastern European market with Hungary as a base and expanding K-beauty product exports.
The meeting was attended by Daegu Haany University Vice President Park Su-jin, Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation Director Hwang Se-jin and Glocal Marketing Support Center Director An Chang-geun, along with SKINEXPRESSO CEO Zsoka Dorottya Kiss, Chief Marketing Officer Anna, Doublely CEO Lee Gyeong-ju and Duco Trading CEO Hwang Hyo-sil.
The partnership is part of the university's ongoing "K-MEDI Silk Road Project."
Participants shared cooperation strategies aimed at strengthening global networks through education, research and industry-academic collaboration, and at spreading the K-MEDI Silk Road G-Belt across Eastern Europe with Hungary at its center.
The two organizations agreed to use Hungary as a strategic gateway into Eastern Europe, working together to expand overseas sales channels for local companies and boost the global competitiveness of the K-beauty industry. They plan to focus particularly on co-developing brands, establishing flagship stores and expanding local retail networks to generate tangible export results.
"Hungary is the ideal base for expanding the K-beauty market in Eastern Europe," SKINEXPRESSO CEO Zsoka Dorottya Kiss said. "Through cooperation with Daegu Haany University and Korean companies, we will actively introduce outstanding K-beauty products and work toward sustainable export results."
Hwang Se-jin, director of the university's Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, said the partnership marks "an important starting point" for helping local companies enter global markets and spreading the K-MEDI Silk Road G-Belt. "We will actively support efforts to raise the overseas competitiveness of the K-beauty industry and generate real export results through pioneering the Eastern European market centered on Hungary," he said.
