Ace Bed brings premium Stressless recliners to GS Shop TV in encore broadcast

Ace Bed will air an exclusive home-shopping broadcast of the Nordic premium recliner brand Stressless on GS Shop TV on Thursday at 9:50 p.m., the company said.

Stressless is a Norwegian recliner brand that Ace Bed exclusively imports and distributes in South Korea. The broadcast will center on the brand's flagship Magic model, featuring the "Copper" and "Sparrow Blue" colors sold during last year's debut broadcast alongside "Mushroom," a GS Shop-exclusive color making its first public appearance.

Broadcaster Baek Ji-yeon, a former announcer, will host the segment. GS Shop is offering exclusive perks for viewers who purchase during the broadcast, including a single-person rug and an Ellipse table as complimentary gifts.

The Magic is Stressless's top-tier recliner, incorporating the brand's BalanceAdapt and ComfortZone technologies, which adjust posture to match the user's body shape and movements. The model also features a customizable headrest and leather upholstery.

The broadcast is an encore slot following the brand's GS Shop debut in October last year, when the entire stock sold out. Ace Bed has since added a new color and enhanced gift benefits for the follow-up broadcast.

Ace Bed's push to expand premium recliner sales through home-shopping channels is a move to diversify beyond its core bed business. The company posted consolidated sales of 317.3 billion won (about $208 million) and an operating profit of 54.1 billion won last year. Sales fell 2.68 percent year-on-year and operating profit dropped 18.29 percent, though revenue from its furniture segment rose 41.1 percent to 34 billion won.

Stressless was launched in 1971 by Norwegian furniture maker Ekornes. Ace Bed has exclusively imported and sold the brand in South Korea since 1999.
