Ulsan's Nam-gu launches online platform support project for small businesses

Nam-gu in Ulsan is rolling out the "2026 Small Business Online Platform Support Project" in response to the shifting retail landscape driven by the growth of online consumption.

Under the project, 200 small businesses operating in Nam-gu will receive subsidies of up to 1 million won ($657) per business toward costs incurred from using online platforms such as food delivery apps, open markets and proprietary store-building solutions. Eligible expenses include service usage fees, keyword and banner advertising costs, and coupon issuance costs for promotions.

Applications will be accepted starting June 22, either in person or by email, until the budget is exhausted. Details are available on the Nam-gu District Office website and the small business support project bulletin board.

A Nam-gu District Office official said the project is expected to give small businesses struggling amid the economic downturn an opportunity to find new avenues through online-based operations.
