LG HelloVision, Hyundai Home Shopping launch co-branded budget phone plans with shopping perks

LG HelloVision and Hyundai Home Shopping have teamed up to launch a co-branded mobile plan designed to deliver greater real-world value to budget phone users by bundling unlimited data with shopping rewards.

LG HelloVision's HelloMobile announced June 15 that it has launched the "Hyundai Home Shopping SIM card plan" in partnership with Hyundai Home Shopping, offering customers 20,000 won (about $13) worth of monthly Hyundai H Mall shopping benefits. The plans add shopping credits and discount coupons on top of popular unlimited-data options.

LG HelloVision said it expects strong synergy with its core budget-phone customer base, given that Hyundai H Mall spans TV home shopping, department store and online products.

Customers on the Hyundai Home Shopping SIM card plan receive three benefits for 24 months: 5,000 won in H Mall store credits, a 5,000-won discount coupon valid on all products with a minimum purchase of 50,000 won, and a 10,000-won discount coupon for TV broadcast products with a minimum purchase of 30,000 won. Sign-ups are available through the HelloMobile official online store or at authorized dealers nationwide.

The lineup mirrors HelloMobile's five best-selling LTE unlimited-data SIM card plans: the Hyundai Home Shopping SIM 1GB (1GB plus 1 Mbps, 9,700 won per month), the Hyundai Home Shopping SIM 7GB (7GB plus 1 Mbps, 18,100 won per month), the Hyundai Home Shopping Data-Plus SIM 7GB (7GB plus 10GB plus 1 Mbps, 19,600 won per month), the Hyundai Home Shopping SIM 11GB (11GB plus 2GB daily plus 3 Mbps, 35,190 won per month), and the Hyundai Home Shopping SIM 100GB (100GB plus 5 Mbps, 40,400 won per month).

Customers who use a HelloMobile affiliated card can receive an additional discount of up to 20,000 won per month.

Meanwhile, HelloMobile continues to expand its lineup of lifestyle-focused affiliated plans. Representative offerings include a coupon pack plan that lets customers choose from coupons for eight partner brands each month, a safety insurance plan that compensates for everyday losses such as voice phishing, a device insurance plan that combines a handset with insurance coverage to ease concerns about loss or damage, and a benefits plan that provides 10,000 won worth of NPay each month.
