Jeon Jae-soo transition committee joins disability parents' rally in Busan

The transition committee for Busan Mayor-elect Jeon Jae-soo — called the "Busan Running Again Committee" and chaired by Cha Jae-kwon — said Monday it attended the "2026 Korea Parents of People with Disabilities Regional Tour Rally" at noon. The event was hosted by the organization's Busan chapter under chapter head Han Seong-hwa.

The Korea Parents of People with Disabilities organized the event to call on local election winners to fulfill their campaign pledges on disability policy and secure the necessary budgets.

The committee's Healthy Citizen Happiness Division represented the transition team at the event. The Busan chapter called for fulfillment of disability-related campaign pledges, expansion of community services for people with developmental disabilities, guaranteed education rights for people with disabilities, and expanded support for lifelong education.

Son Ji-hyeon, head of the Healthy Citizen Happiness Division, said the committee attended "to hear directly from the scene, as the mayor-elect has emphasized." She added that the committee would "actively review not only the announced campaign pledges but also the requests heard from people with disabilities today, and develop policies to make Busan a city where people with and without disabilities can live well together."
