Daegu Urban Development Corp. held a "Safety Inspection Day" at its permanent public rental housing complexes on June 11 to prepare for summer flooding, typhoons and other storm-related hazards.
During the event, the corporation inspected key facilities across the complexes to proactively identify rainy-season vulnerabilities, checking structures and risk factors that could sustain damage during heavy downpours. Staff also visited a site near the Jisan General Social Welfare Center to examine conditions that could inconvenience residents or pose safety risks, as part of the corporation's community-focused safety management initiative.
"Safety is the top priority — it cannot be emphasized enough," said Jeong Myeong-seop, president of Daegu Urban Development Corp. "We will continue to carry out thorough safety inspections and preemptive measures to create a safe residential environment where residents can live with peace of mind."
